Sacred Treasures — Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Sacred Treasures is a religious-reference iOS and Android app. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data. The app works without an account, without login, and without analytics tracking. All your reading progress and bookmarks are stored locally on your device.

2. What data is processed

• Reading progress & bookmarks — stored locally on your device only (AsyncStorage).
• In-app purchase (£0.99 Lifetime Unlock) — handled by Apple App Store / Google Play. We never see your payment details.
• "Ask the Sheikh" feature — your question text is sent to our backend for AI-assisted answer generation. We do not attach your name, email, device ID or location. Question text is not stored after the answer is returned.
• No analytics, no ads, no third-party tracking SDKs.

3. Permissions

• Internet access — used to fetch new daily content, generate answers in "Ask the Sheikh", and check prayer times by your manually-set city.
• Notifications (optional) — only if you enable them, to remind you of prayer times. No personal data is sent.
• Location — only if you grant it, to auto-detect prayer-time city. Coordinates are processed locally and not transmitted.

4. Children

The app is suitable for all ages (4+). We do not knowingly collect any data from children or anyone else.

5. Charity

10% of net proceeds from the £0.99 Lifetime Unlock are donated to Ummah Welfare Trust.
